I Don't Dream

Shown Moriyama is a Tokyo-based artist and songwriter whose work moves between languages, cultures, and contemporary pop music.

Working across both English and Japanese, Moriyama has developed a distinctive approach to songwriting that translates narrative and emotion across cultural boundaries.

In 2025, he wrote the English lyrics for four insert songs featured in the anime TO BE HERO X, "Take Off", "My Color),"Twilight", and "Wishing", translating the emotions and identities of its characters into lyrics that function naturally within each song.

In 2026, he further expanded his international songwriting work by providing Japanese lyric supervision for the Japanese versions of four songs from Netflix"s KPop Demon Hunters: "How It's Done", "Soda Pop","Takedown",and "Your Idol".

Moving between English and Japanese, and between Japanese and global pop culture, Moriyama brings the experience of translating not only language, but also emotion and cultural nuance into music.
With his latest single "I Don't Dream," he turns toward his own Japanese roots, blending traditional sounds such as shamisen and shakuhachi with contemporary pop production.
