『黒き陽炎に咲く花』は、夏の眩しさとは正反対の景色を描いた、SHIROIwancoらしいダークロックナンバーです。
光を求めながらも、その光に傷つき、過去を抱えたまま前へ進もうともがく一人の心を、関西弁のリアルな言葉で描いています。
海辺のチャペル、焼けつく砂浜、白いドレス、月のない夜。映画のワンシーンのような情景が次々と浮かび上がり、切なさと激しさが交差していきます。
サビで繰り返される「黒き陽炎に咲いた花」は、一瞬しか咲けなくても、自分らしく生き抜こうとする魂の象徴です。
絶望だけでは終わらず、最後には「この灰の中に 新しい誰かが咲きますように」という小さな希望を残して締めくくるところも、白ワンらしい世界観。
