Lyric

Scattered Remnants

Tera Kira

The setting sun, sobbing in the sky

Any shred of grace I had, has long run dry

You turned away from me

Long ago, into the sea

Even so

To keep these memories from the end

I’ll pull the threads of fate, around the bend

Floating in this hollow shell

Hazy and drifting in a spell

Passing each other, out of reach

Watching the scenery break on the beach

Singing a song for the final day

Leaving that moment, tucked away

Even the goodbye

Was left behind to die

Fallen leaves, piling up my thoughts

Hanging my head, tied in lovers' knots

Every single breath I take

Is a weight my chest might break

Ephemeral foam

A dream that vanishes when I wake

By the side of the sleep, for my own sake

Tangled and twisted, a mess of wire

Getting entwined in a desperate fire

Tearing apart, piece by piece

Like branches weeping, trailing in the air

Beyond the mist and the shivering glare

Beckoned by a ghost of what used to be

Burning with envy, until you can’t see

Turning into ashes

That’s all that’s left of me

I should have known

The ending of this play

I turned my eyes away

And lost my heart

Somewhere along the way

Becoming a wreck, a pile of remains

Locking it all away in chains

Lamenting in the dark of night

Sorrow is my only light

Entangled and stubborn, wandering lost

Merging with shadows, at any cost

Fading into the residue of the past

Even if everything withers at last

Even if I rot and turn to dust

My prayer still remains

Unfading and ever-blooming
