Yurakucho no Uta

"Yurakucho Uta Tsukuri Keikaku" (Project to Create Songs in Yurakucho), winner of the Grand Prize.
Mitsubishi Estate, Nippon Broadcasting System, Eggs, and music producer Akimitsu Homma have teamed up to create a song contest. Following in the footsteps of Frank Nagai's "Let's Meet in Yurakucho" from over 60 years ago, this is a project to create a theme song for the city of Yurakucho, or "Machi Uta", and make it popular.
The theme of the song is "Yurakucho, the grown-up town you've always wanted to be in" and the contest was open to the public through Eggs in June and July of 2020. After a selection process and a workshop with Akimitsu Honma, gorillamatsuries's "Yurakucho no Uta" won the grand prize in November 2020. The song was recorded in March and April of 2021, produced by Akimitsu Honma.
