CHIAKI KATO
Born in Tokyo. Second son in a family where his mother was a dancer and his father a band musician. After his parents divorced, influenced by his older brother and inspired by a single guitar left behind at home, he began playing guitar in elementary school. Initially, he had no interest in guitar solos, immersing himself instead in chord playing and becoming devoted to punk, hardcore, and grunge. However, he gradually began listening to music across various genres, drawing immense inspiration from natural sounds, everyday ambient noise, and even silence itself, establishing a unique style transcending genres. Yet, his refusal to limit his direction to a single genre made finding band members difficult, leading him toward solo creative work. Like a jukebox packed with all the music he loves-EDM, rock, pop, rap-he excels at crafting catchy melodies that stick in your head after just one listen, propelling him forward as an artist. Streaming on TikTok and 17Live is scheduled to begin soon.
