Windows glowing in the dark

Neighbors talking through the walls

Every night feels paused halfway

Like the city lost its pulse

Coffee getting cold again

Same chair, same unfinished thoughts

I keep scrolling through old days

Trying not to count the hours

And everybody says

“It’s gonna pass someday”

But the silence in the room

Learns my name a little more

I miss the noise

I miss the accidental moments

Trains at midnight

Someone laughing somewhere below me

Now every streetlight feels far away

Like a memory underwater

We were holding onto tiny things

Just to make the week feel softer

Rain against the window frame

Delivery bags in empty trains

The world reduced to little squares

Frozen smiles and lagging names

Some nights I played the same old song

Just to feel the air still move

Not happy

Not devastated

Just trying to stay human too

And everybody changed

In quiet, invisible ways

Like pictures left in sunlight

Slowly fading at the edge

I miss the noise

I miss the unfinished conversations

Crowded stations

Small excuses to stay outside longer

Now every morning blurred the same

Late blue light across the ceiling

We were learning how to live

Inside invisible distances

Maybe one day

These rooms will only feel nostalgic

Maybe one day

We’ll forget how heavy silence was

But sometimes when the night gets still

And the screen light hits the floor

I remember who I was

Waiting for the world to reopen

The 2020s have become an era of division and conflict. It all began with that great calamity that changed the world. While so many people are trying to leave those haunting memories behind, I felt that, at least in my music, I had to preserve the memory of that lonely time. This piece is my way of recording those moments before they fade from our collective memory.
