We call something that feels like it "has no end" a "weasel play." But I started wondering, "What kind of game was this'weasel play' anyway?" and decided to look it up.

The rules, as I found them, are simple: First you say "Weasel play, mouse play," then the two of you take turns pinching the back of the other person's hand or fingers that they hold out. You gradually pick up the speed as you go.

When I first read that, I thought for a second, "Is that even fun?" But almost immediately I corrected myself: "No, it must have been a ton of fun."

I pictured really close parent and child-or little kids playing together-doing it, and realized they'd instantly dissolve into a giggling, tumbling, playful free-for-all.

That's what I turned into this song.
