Nothy BUGG delivers the ultimate anthem of self-deprecation and an ode to humanity.
Socially awkward, insecure about looks, putting up a false front... This unapologetic rock track lays bare the pathetic, shallow sides of ourselves we all desperately try to hide, driven by a raw and gritty band sound.
"I might be a cockroach, but you are human." This clumsy yet absolute validation of others, shouted from rock bottom, will resonate deeply with anyone grappling with their own loneliness and self-loathing. Painfully raw and undeniably passionate, this track is a potent dose of pure Nothy BUGG at their absolute best.
Members Vocal & Guitar: uki Bass: Kawagiri Origin of the Band Name Nothy BUGG originates from Naughty bug. The name was adapted to Nothy BUGG to embody the idea that it's okay to make mistakes while giving it a stylish and unique appearance. Naughty conveys a playful, mischievous, and slightly rebellious nuance, reflecting the band's desire for free and unconventional musical expression. Bug represents insects, known for their diversity, symbolizing the band's commitment to creating music across various genres. Bug also refers to a computer bug, implying that miracles can happen unexpectedly. However, just like bugs in a system, not all miracles are necessarily positive this duality is embedded in the band's philosophy. Formation & Musical Journey The origins of Nothy BUGG trace back to high school when uki and his classmates formed a band, marking the beginning of their musical journey. After graduation, their paths diverged, leading to a temporary hiatus, yet the passion for music never faded. Even while working as a company employee, uki's heart remained with music. After deep introspection about its significance in his life, he made a bold decision. In the spring of 2025, Nothy BUGG was reborn. With bassist Kawagiri, he embarked on a new chapter in his musical journey. Musical Style & Sound Inspired by RADWIMPS' Iindesuka, uki became deeply immersed in music. The band draws influence from major Japanese rock acts such as BUMP OF CHICKEN, UVERworld, and SUPER BEAVER, while also embracing a genre-fluid approach. Their sound blends elements from pop, country, ethnic music, EDM, jazz, reggae, anime songs, and vocaloid music, creating a distinctive style unique to Nothy BUGG. With emotionally stirring lyrics, captivating melodies, and an energetic band sound, Nothy BUGG's music resonates deeply, leaving a lasting impact on its listeners.
