「GRANICA」は、書道（Calligraphy）と電子音楽（Electronica）を組み合わせた造語。
筆運びや墨磨りのわずかな音をマイクで拾い上げることで、これまでの空間芸術としての書に「時間芸術」としての要素を融合させます。

本作ではある1文字を書きはじめ書き終わるまでの音を収録。
ひらがな48字、アルファベット26字、漢数字・算用数字21字に『自由』『勇気』『希望』『愛』『念』の5つの言葉を加えた100字を同時リリース。

Artist Profile

  • kamari

    He began studying calligraphy at the age of five under master calligrapher Chōun Sugimoto. After graduating from the Department of Calligraphy in the Special Teacher Training Program at the Faculty of Education, Tokyo Gakugei University, he chose the path of an independent calligrapher. In 2014, he established the general incorporated association TUGUMI, through which he has cultivated calligraphy schools across Japan. As of 2025, these spaces of learning and expression have grown into a network of eight locations nationwide, engaging more than 700 students. Working fluidly across borders, he presents solo exhibitions and live calligraphy performances both in Japan and abroad, while also appearing in a wide range of media. Celebrated as a calligrapher who gives form to thought, his work is noted for its quiet intensity and its ability to carry human emotion beyond language.
