Racing tide, we chase the breeze
Golden reins and silver seas
Laughing loud with sand-stained shoes
Hearts in motion, nothing to lose
Street lights blink, the night begins
Our silhouettes in coastal winds
Phases turning, time won’t wait
Ride this wave before it’s late
It’s just a phase, a sudden flame
Like wild horses, none to tame
Running fast, no need to know
Where we start or where we go
It’s just a phase, this summer haze
But I could live inside these days
So hold me now before we change
Another dawn, another phase
Fireworks and distant drums
Whispers under setting suns
Market stalls and neon dreams
Life unravelled at the seams
You and I, no need for plans
Just this pulse and shifting sands
We don’t speak, we understand
Let’s disappear while we still can
It’s just a phase, a sudden flame
Like wild horses, none to tame
Running fast, no need to know
Where we start or where we go
It’s just a phase, this summer haze
But I could live inside these days
So hold me now before we change
Another dawn, another phase
Galloping hearts on salty shore
One look back, then nevermore
Phases shift, but I remain
Calling your name in the rain
It’s just a phase, a sudden flame
But don’t you feel it’s not a game?
Even if we’re meant to stray
I’d still run with you today
It’s just a phase, this summer light
But something in it feels so right
Let’s hold the world before it fades
And live as though this phase will stay

Artist Profile
starclime
There are still landscapes in music that we have yet to see. starclime is a fourteen-member music project. Taking City Pop as one of its starting points, starclime moves freely through rock, jazz, soul, R&B,EDM, classical music, ambient, experimental music, hip-hop, and musical traditions from around the world. Rather than remaining within a single genre, the project absorbs the colour, rhythm, culture and atmosphere of different forms of music, reshaping them into something new. The changing seasons. Journeys towards unfamiliar places. Memories of somewhere to return to. The distance between people. Feelings that lie beyond words. These landscapes and emotions flow throughout the music of starclime. Some things can only be expressed through song. Others only begin to reveal themselves when words disappear. For starclime, vocal works and instrumentals therefore belong equally to the same musical world. Each member brings a different musical background and a different perspective to every work, while some continue to discover and develop their own musical identity. Rather than preserving a single finished form, starclime allows the music itself to grow through change. starclime does not seek simply to add more genres. Its aim is to renew the way music itself can be perceived through the meeting of different musical worlds. Towards music that has yet to be named. Towards landscapes we have yet to discover. starclime will continue to present new ways of seeing and hearing music.
