Woke up to the hush of a river’s breath
Mist on the hills, morning soft as a thread
You held a stone in your open hand
Said, “It’s not just pretty — it understands.”
Warm light on a winding stream
Echoes dancing in a half-spun dream
Gemstone in the water’s glide
Shining like the truth we try to hide
Down by the banks where the memories flow
You and I, where the bright stones glow
Fields hum low in the summer heat
Barefoot laughs on gravelled streets
Your voice was soft, but your gaze was clear
Like the gem that drew us near
Every shimmer tells a tale
Of silent love and winds that sail
Gemstone in the river’s fold
Stories pressed in marbled gold
Time can rush, or time can slow
But the stone still knows where we go
It never asked for a crown
It only shimmered when the sun came round
Held no value till we saw it shine…
Just like your heart, pressed against mine
Gemstone in the river’s gleam
Caught between the now and dream
Nothing grand, yet nothing small
The gem, the river — they hold it all

Artist Profile
starclime
There are still landscapes in music that we have yet to see. starclime is a fourteen-member music project. Taking City Pop as one of its starting points, starclime moves freely through rock, jazz, soul, R&B,EDM, classical music, ambient, experimental music, hip-hop, and musical traditions from around the world. Rather than remaining within a single genre, the project absorbs the colour, rhythm, culture and atmosphere of different forms of music, reshaping them into something new. The changing seasons. Journeys towards unfamiliar places. Memories of somewhere to return to. The distance between people. Feelings that lie beyond words. These landscapes and emotions flow throughout the music of starclime. Some things can only be expressed through song. Others only begin to reveal themselves when words disappear. For starclime, vocal works and instrumentals therefore belong equally to the same musical world. Each member brings a different musical background and a different perspective to every work, while some continue to discover and develop their own musical identity. Rather than preserving a single finished form, starclime allows the music itself to grow through change. starclime does not seek simply to add more genres. Its aim is to renew the way music itself can be perceived through the meeting of different musical worlds. Towards music that has yet to be named. Towards landscapes we have yet to discover. starclime will continue to present new ways of seeing and hearing music.
