On the banks where silence glows
A ribbon flows where no one goes
Silver skies in pale attire
Whispers drift like threads of fire
White wishes on the river ride
Carried far on the shifting tide
Touch the sky, leave the shore
Search for something, something more
Footsteps lost on stone so old
Echoes soft in the summer gold
Painted dreams in water’s gleam
Held beneath a gentle stream
White wishes on the river ride
Carried far on the shifting tide
Touch the sky, leave the shore
Search for something, something more
If the stars fall
Would they break the flow?
Would they shine still
Far below?
White wishes on the river ride
Carried far on the shifting tide
Hold my hand, just one more time—
Before we vanish in the rhyme

starclime
