In these times when the world feels endlessly chaotic, living in Tokyo
sometimes makes me feel as though, amidst the constant changes of
everyday life, the very core of my heart is slowly being stripped away,
leaving me wanting to cry out.

But no matter how clumsy or imperfect we may be, that is okay.
The scattered fragments of our hearts eventually transform like stardust and find their way back to the center of who we are.
And they will always begin to shine again as stars of hope.

The album title As the Stars Begin to Gather carries these feelings and
thoughts.

This EP consists entirely of original compositions by Hikaru, performed
as solo piano works.

Artist Profile

  • Hikaru Matsusato

    Hikaru Matsusato (Composer / Pianist / Arranger) She started studying jazz piano at university. In autumn 2014, participated as a music contributor in the nationwide theatrical film called FukuFukusō no Fuku chan. Also appeared at Nagoya Blue Note as a supporting musician for Sword of the Far East. Her unique sense of composition and arrangement has earned high acclaim from both musicians and listeners across a wide range of generations. She has performed with well known artists and at numerous international venues. From 2022 to 2026, she worked as a pianist onboard internationally flagged cruise ships. During this period, she became the first Japanese musician to be promoted to Band Leader on board.
