A Place in the Sun (Remaster)

Amedios Amedios

Ever since that line has begun

In a mist of morning sun

In the circles of light that have spun

With their beauty one on one

In the yellow sky and the dust

In the thirst of blood and lust

Is everything gone far too fussed

Eyes with tears became into crust

I've been waiting de-la

Waiting for uncertain things to come to you

I've been wanting la-la

Wanting to be reached out

In a place of the sun

On a cross street of the town

People with faces worn from being frown

Nothing more is making them up or down

Each day their visions turn into brown

Lies and deception never fade

Building up their barricade

"It's just another escapade"

Says the man wearing a blade

I've been waiting de-la

Waiting for uncertain things to come to you

I've been wanting la-la

Wanting to be reached out

In a place of the sun

I've been waiting de-la

Waiting for uncertain things to come to you

I've been wanting la-la

Wanting to be reached out

In a place of the sun

" Ever since that line has begun, in a mist of morning sun in the circles of light that have spun, with their beauty one on one"
"Lies and deception never fade, building up their barricade, "It's just another escapade", says the man wearing a blade"(Excerpt from the vocal version)

In a contemporary world filled with endless conflict, political corruption, and the looming dawn of a full-fledged AI era, invisible anxieties swirl around us. Today, we find ourselves facing a formidable, unseen enemy on multiple levels of our existence.

This song begins with a deep yearning for a peaceful, primordial world-inspired by the pan-Pacific civilizations, including ancient Japan's Jomon period. At the same time, it serves as my personal experimental approach and homage to the undrawn "Modern Chapter" of Phoenix (Hi no Tori), the life's work of the legendary manga artist Osamu Tezuka, whom I deeply revere and admire.

Through this sweeping worldview, the track questions what it truly means to "safeguard our shared humanity in the age of AI," striving to offer a beacon of bright, enduring value to the world.

[Artist Note]
The first spark of this song was conceived in October 1990, nearly 36 years ago. The original melody came together in 1991, and the lyrics were fully realized in April 1996. What started as a solitary desktop music (DTM) project evolved into a live band format performed from 1997 to 2001. After 2002, I stepped away to immerse myself in the study of painting, design, and filmmaking. Following this long hiatus, from 2019 onward, I returned to this song alongside creating my art pieces, restarting the journey to seek out and sculpt its ultimate, finalized form.

To me, this song is a journey without an end-an "everlasting entity," the very realm of the of eternity that continues to transform and live on, just like the endlessness of Phoenix.
