"Piano Ten Thousand Leaves" began with a single wish: to deliver gentleness to people all over the world. In February 2014, Japanese Piano Bard, chair house (Hitoshi Yasui) embarked on a quiet journey: to compose and share one gentle piano piece every morning, and release it online for the world to hear. The goal was 4,536 pieces, the same number of poems as in Japan's oldest anthology, "Ten Thousand Leaves (Manyoushu) ". Like short poems, each composition is brief, yet filled with calmness and tender beauty a collection of "leaves of sound" that soothe the heart. Over 4,462 pieces have already been released, listened to more than ten million times around the world. Listeners say: ======= These melodies wash away the fatigue of daily life, refresh the mind, and gently embrace the soul. ======= Now begins a new challenge: to compile all 4,536 pieces into 91 albums and deliver them to the future. Just as "Ten Thousand Leaves ( Manyoushu ) " carried the hearts of lovers across a thousand years, we hope these piano pieces will reach people a thousand years from now. This Volume 2-1 contains fifty pieces, No.251 to No.300, composed in 2014, fresh and tender, like the very beginning of a long journey. Please take a quiet moment in your day to listen. The album artwork is inspired by ukiyo-e, symbolizing a Japanese-born body of gentle music for the world, for centuries to come.
