Nights driven by pure impulse,
and the blue afterglow left behind once the rush fades.
FLASH AND BLUE is a full-length album by Hai no Kyori,
capturing both the speed of racing through the city
and the emotions that surface in the moments when everything slows down.
From raw garage rock and straight-ahead alternative tracks,
to blues-tinged urban rock and a grand, cinematic dawn at the end,
the album traces a journey shaped by movement, hesitation, and resolve.
What you'll find here are not polished answers,
but the marks left by forward motion?
a record of impulses, doubts, and the distance traveled with both.
FLASH represents the instant ignition of emotion,
while BLUE lingers as the color of reflection in the night.
Holding both at once,
these ten songs push onward without stopping.
FLASH AND BLUE paints the dawn that only comes
after you've kept running through the dark.
Hai no Kyori is a Japanese three-piece rock band formed by Rei Sato (Vo/Gt), Ren Morikawa (Ba), and Misaki (Dr). Their music captures the tension between the cold air of the city and the faint heat that lingers within. With dry guitars and tight rhythms, they weave a sound of desperation and silence a blend of raw energy reminiscent of Number Girl and Fuzzy Control, fused with a modern, minimal aesthetic. Their songs live at the edge measuring the temperature of ashes, glowing faintly before they fade.
