The OverLay
The OverLay was formed in January 2023 by vocalist Johnny, guitarist Yoshimi Soma, and drummer Akito. bassist YuuNa joined the band in September of the same year, and the band began performing live, mainly in Tokyo. Their first single, "Today's Over," was released digitally in April 2025. Their music video, "Supercar," was released on YouTube in August of the same year. Furthermore, keyboardist Hiyori Usami joined in September of the same year, making the band a five-member group. They then embarked on a self-organized live show, "Obare no Kaobare," to promote their first album, "Rock ON." Their catchy melodies and accessible lyrics, set against a rock sound, have earned them high praise, captivating audiences. Under the theme of "This love and rock 'n' roll to you," The OverLay continue to pursue their own unique style of rock 'n' roll in the diverse Reiwa era and share it with the world.
