Sociopath (Single)

Artist Profile

  • Lick-G

26 year old Japanese Hip Hop artist born in 1999. He has a Japanese father and British mother. His real name is Gen Fushimi. He began making music and freestyling during middle school, and in 2015, he independently released an EP titled Untitled. In 2016, he finished as runner-up in the 9th High School RAP Championship, and steadily gained recognition through free mixtape releases. In February 2017, he released his first album Trainspotting. The album drew significant attention for systematically incorporating the triplet flow, which was not widely adopted in Japan at the time, into Japanese lyrics. It received a strong response, even entering the iTunes overall chart. In September of the same year, he independently released his second EP Titled, and in December, he won THE BATOU GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP 2017, one of Japan's top tier rap battle tournaments. At the beginning of 2018, he appeared on the freestyle rap TV program Freestyle Dungeon (TV Asahi network), where he defeated the final boss and won the ¥1,000,000 prize. He retired from MC battles shortly thereafter. Later that year, he established his own independent label, Zenknow, through which he continued to release music. After a roughly three year hiatus from releasing new material starting in 2022, he returned in March 2025 with a comeback single. On July 11, 2025, he released his long awaited second album, Anything You Want
