GYW BAY DAGR × Jeff Loik "AWAI"

"AWAI" is the highly anticipated debut EP by GYW BAY DAGR and Jeff Loik.

Having known and collaborated around each other since their teenage years, the two artists have come together for the first time to complete a project as a duo.

With a background rooted in hardcore rock, GYW BAY DAGR brings a sharp and physical intensity to the project, while producer Jeff Loik transforms it into a deep, heavy, and layered sound. Hip Hop elements are woven throughout, creating a distinctive sonic landscape where their respective backgrounds intersect.

Across all five tracks, "AWAI" explores the flow of time and the people and relationships that cross paths along the way. The EP reflects on what changes over time, as well as what remains despite the passage of time. The title "AWAI" was chosen to express the ambiguous boundary between the two.

"AWAI" is the result of two artists' individual journeys and present perspectives intersecting to create something entirely new.

A release party for "AWAI" will be held on August 29th at Daikanyama Saloon.
