From aTTn, beatmaker ji2kia will release his new album "KIKU" on January 1, 2026.

The title KIKU comes from the name of "Kiku," the snack bar run by his aunt in his hometown of Ishikawa - an important place that shaped his earliest musical memories.

In the summer of 2025, his aunt sadly passed away, and during his return home and attendance at the funeral, he found himself revisiting the emotions, memories, and musical experiences formed in that small community at the snack bar. Those recollections became the foundation of this album.

The project is also deeply connected to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, which struck on January 1, 2024. Through the feelings and experiences he has carried from that day to the present - his time spent in the affected region, and the creative work that followed - ji2kia explores themes of life and death, nature and society, and music and everyday existence.
All of these emotions and memories intertwine and take sonic form in a body of work that resonates with the symbol and memory of "KIKU."
