Kommune's first EP "CARDINALITY" is released by their label CLEWAXING.
This work is a story of people struggling and struggling with their ideals and dreams while living in society.
As the title CARDINALITY (= "concentration") suggests, the current Kommune's expressive elements are abundantly expressed, and each track gives a glimpse of a unique expression, just like the multifaceted nature of humans.
The beat, with its mellow vocals, is based on dark ambient, with HipHop, beat, UK bass, etc. as the core of the rhythm. Throughout the EP, you can enjoy the change in texture from liquid to solid, and enjoy the feeling of becoming one with the sound as you let yourself drift away.
Starting with "omen" and "sagasu," where the harmony between the beat and vocals is outstanding and you can feel like you are melting into the space, "kasumi," which strongly inherits the heaviness from the first single and has a floating melody and vocals that are pleasant to listen to, "SWVG," which has a danceable five-on-the-floor beat, industrial sounds and sharp vocals, and "yuragi," which was released as a pre-release single and features an addictive beat, are included in the album.
Despite being their first EP, it is a highly "CARDINALITY" work that expresses Kommune's solid worldview.

Kommune
A Tokyo-based unit. It consists of vocalist meyumo and beatmaker/guitarist Konfig. Based on alternative R&B and electronica, Konfig's beats, which develop tracks with a unique heaviness and flowing sound, combine with meyumo's husky and mellow vocal style to create a new sound. In August 2024, they will release their first EP "CARDINALITY", and in November 2025, their first album "LUCA". In April 2025, they will perform at the Showcase Festival "music bridge tokyo". In September 2025, they will perform at the Ringo Music Festival 2025. In December 2025, they will hold the Kommune Asia Tour 2025 (Indonesia, Philippines, Tokyo). In addition, the collaboration single "tempus" with Reugene, released in January 2025, was picked up by London music radio station Reprezent (107.3 FM), and the single "Flamma" released in February of the same year was also picked up by the playlist "New Music Friday" of NPR Music, an American music media outlet famous for Tiny Desk, and has been a hot topic overseas.

Beat maker / Producer / Guitarist Based in Tokyo, he specializes in flowing sounds and aggressive beat styles, possessing a unique musical sensibility. His musical style varies across his musical unit Kommune, his collective 5 FEET FARM, and his music productions, allowing for a unique sound to be enjoyed from a variety of angles. He primarily uses the SP404 MK2 guitar, performing in music clubs, live music venues, and more. He is not limited to Japan; he also collaborates extensively with artists from countries such as France, Australia, and Thailand, creating live shows and recordings. His releases have been picked up by London's music radio station Reprezent (107.3 FM) and Sydney's 2SER (107.3FM), as well as the "New Music Friday" playlist on NPR Music, the American music media outlet famous for its Tiny Desk. He is also gaining attention overseas.
