In this quiet room, time is standing still

Your shadow flickers against my will

Melting into the dark, deep inside

Falling down like crystal drops

Fragments of a heart that never stops

Unknown to the world, a poem of my tears

Shining so frail, through all of these years

Before the morning light takes them away

I’ll hold these droplets, just for today

Walking the alley, stones wet and grey

Only my footsteps echoing away

The promise we made, I keep it so near
