The theme of this poem is "stolen love." As a metaphor, I used "Hangesho" to express the image of sad summer. Hangesho is one of the miscellaneous festivals, and refers to the summer time when a medicinal herb called Hangesho grows. During this time of year, the leaves of Hangesho are said to "turn half white, as if they were made up," as their name suggests, conveying the sadness of an unfortunate woman who becomes addicted to stolen love. As the poem says, the "Hangesho herb" will heal and cure your body, even if your heart is hurt. I used "Hangesho" to symbolize a woman who does not succumb to love and is not bound by morals or ethics, even in the face of painful and bitter love.
