KIRISAME (Misty Rain)
The piercing sound of "Muraiki" -the raw, breathy spirit of the Shakuhachi.
Dusty MPC drum chops meet deep, bone-rattling sub-bass.
An underground midnight cypher unfolding in a fog-drenched alleyway.
Traditional Japanese timbres elevated into modern Boom-Bap through Lo-fi saturation and vintage tape wobble.
I grew up in a household where the sound of the shakuhachi woke me each morning, surrounded by the presence of the koto and piano. Immersed in traditional Japanese music from a young age, I later spent my formative years absorbing a diverse array of genres without boundaries. Today, those roots form the foundation of my work as I pursue a "Neo-Japan Sound" centered on techno and electromusic. My goal is to update traditional Japanese sensibilities for the modern era through free-form composition that defies convention. Moving beyond fixed concepts and cherishing the inspiration of the moment, I strive to create a multifaceted world of sound driven by endless curiosity.
