After a year of daily visits to public baths, beatmaker NICKELMAN unveils Nippon Onsen Kikou, a bath-inspired album shaped by his hot & cold bath groove born from 365 days of immersion in sentō culture.

Supported by the bath-loving label OKE MUSIC FACTORY, the album will be released on February 6, 2026 - Furo Day,the once-in-a-millennium bath year - in limited 12-inch vinyl and cassette editions. A digital version will also be self-released on the same day.

A strictly Japanese groove curation, the album is a heavenly instrumental work overflowing with pure love for Japanese bath culture.

Inspired by the Nishi-style hot & cold bathing method, the album's ten tracks reflect 10 cycles,where diverse musicality rises like steam in a bathhouse and intertwines like shimmering water on its surface.

The cover artwork, created by 55555, features a unique collage reminiscent of nostalgic Japanese sentō atmospheres.

Together with OKB, the head of OKE MUSIC FACTORY, NICKELMAN traveled to neighborhood bathhouses and outdoor hot-spring facilities. From tour discoveries, hidden hot springs, and the gifts of nature, he crafted a sound journey that invites the listener beyond the veil of steam - a relaxation music experience that leads the ear into new scenic horizons.

    Japanese beatmaker NICKELMAN known for his numerous record and cassette tape releases, has steadily gained a following among music-loving listeners for his unconventional and free method of expression. He also works under the artist name 55555, and designs collages and drawings for his own records and cassette tapes. He also runs the beatmaker unit FREEMANZ PRODUCTION with labelmate FROGMAN and deepconstruction records based in Osaka. Also, Nickelman is actively involved in a wide range of activities including collaborations with various artists and releases on prominent overseas labels such as URBNET and VINYLDIGITAL. In recent years; in addition to a nationwide tour in Japan, he has successfully toured in LA (Scenario, Beat Cinema), Taiwan (NODTOWN), and Shanghai (FRUITY GROOVE).
