Garnering attention for their unique soundscapes-with their previous work "to eden" charting at #4 on Apple Music's "Psychedelic Top Songs (Japan)" and being selected for TuneCore Japan's curation-the band Pity Inception is set to release "chocolate," their first new single in three years, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

The themes of this work are "Intoxication" and "Hallucination." Making a dramatic shift from their previous chord-reliant approach, the band has evolved into a riff-driven structure where each instrument freely collides with its own vibe. A seamless blend of Funk, Rock, Psychedelic, and World Music elements, the wah-infused guitars and surreal spatial sounds lure the listener into the "liminal space between reality and the surreal."

The recording was conducted at "Kura Studio" in Fujimino, Saitama. The unique acoustics of a traditional Japanese house fuse with a psychedelic soundscape to create a groove that feels both nostalgic and entirely new.
