An instrumental collection by Wednesday Wonderland.

Following the acclaimed 2nd EP Wherever, Whenever, Whatever, Forever, A Minimal Interlude is the second instrumental collection from Wednesday Wonderland.

The eight-track EP is inspired by the fleeting moments of summer vacation. Layered acoustic instruments and aged, dreamlike electronic textures quietly intertwine, painting faded memories of a single summer.

Rooted in lo-fi hip-hop while weaving together elements of folk, electronica, neo soul and ambient music, the record evokes distant summer landscapes preserved somewhere in memory.

From performance and recording to mixing and mastering, every aspect of the production was completed by Wednesday Wonderland. in a bedroom studio. The cover photograph was taken by Kazuki Ueno, guitarist in the Wednesday Wonderland. live band.

Artist Profile

  • Wednesday Wonderland.

Wednesday Wonderland. is a solo project that began in Tokyo, Japan, in 2025. Blending weathered, dreamlike electronic textures inspired by electronica and dream pop with live band instrumentation, the project creates songs featuring a distinctive fragile, machine-like vocal style. Alongside vocal works, Wednesday Wonderland. has also released numerous instrumental tracks influenced by ambient music and lo-fi hip hop. Moving fluidly between full-band songwriting and instrumental beat-making, both approaches are closely connected, forming a unique and cohesive artistic world. Every stage of production from recording, mixing, and mastering to the songwriting itself is handled independently in a bedroom studio. Music videos and artwork are also primarily self-produced, reflecting the project's strong DIY philosophy. Today, Wednesday Wonderland. performs live mainly in Tokyo with a large-scale band setup of up to eight members. Despite remaining a fully independent DIY project, it has achieved significant recognition within its first year of activity. The second EP, Wherever, Whenever, Whatever, Forever, reached No. 1 on the Japanese iTunes Instrumental Albums Chart, the music has been featured on numerous official Spotify playlists, the project has released a collaborative work with Lonely Girl, a label attracting growing attention both in Japan and internationally, and its Instagram following has surpassed 12,000. Wednesday Wonderland. continues to expand its audience while pursuing a distinctive artistic vision.
