Artist Profile

  • Masaru Sano&Smiley Bones

Born on February 23, 1972 in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. In his childhood, under the influence of his aunt, he continued to come into contact with top musicians such as PANTA and Ushakoda, which triggered him to pick up the guitar. In 1995, he went to the United States and experienced performances and life in Chicago, the home of blues. After performing with famous blues musicians such as J.W.willams and Chico Banks, he established his own musical style that combines blues and rock. In 1999, he moved to Saga and continued his active performance activities in order to deliver authentic blues to many people. He also provides support in the field of rock, such as Brain Police, PANTA, and Yoshito Nakamura (ODO Bozu). On the other hand, he has hosted many events such as the SAGAN MUSIC FESTIVAL (2012), invited famous mujans from all over the country to Saga, and continues to contribute to the development of the local music scene.
