---Samuel---Lemon GROVE'S--- This is the debut album released in 1994 by the male-female unit Yuji Ono [Vo/Gt/Prg] and Shiena [Vo/Gt]. Produced by Keiji Matsui (owl/primrose) and engineered by ZAK&Lance Phillips, it was recorded in London and Tokyo. From the shoegaze-infused track "Heaven Knows" (M-1), to the Madchester-influenced track "How Do You Feel?" (M-2), to the bedroom pop-infused track "Real ni Narenai" (M-5), featuring the charming organ riffs of guest keyboardist HAKASE-SUN (LITTLE TEMPO/Fishmans) on "Luna Parachute," to the psychedelic soundscape of ZAK's dub mix on "Prime Private (Release The Air Mix)" (M-9), this album exudes timeless electro-pop charm while evoking the atmosphere of the '90s UK rock scene. When Yuji Ono's meticulous programming blends with Shiena's girlish vocals, it's an ambitious album that transports you to a dreamlike moment, as if you've been invited to a midnight amusement park.
