SECOND GIFT

We all receive two gifts.

The first is life. The sound of this heartbeat, still beating. It's the first and greatest gift in life, the first gift.

The second is a name. It's the sequence of sounds that makes you who you are. When you hear that sound, you know it's you. From the day it was given, it continues to ring, involving everyone you meet throughout your life. This is the second gift in life, the second gift.

This new song is a song about cherishing "names."

Even if this body perishes, what remains is a name. A name has a longer lifespan than life itself. Even when the body meets its end, the name lives on. Even if the sound of your heart stops, your name will not stop ringing. It will probably continue to ring somewhere in the world for some time.

Unlike the first gift, the second gift is a gift that remains.

The sound that rings through spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The sound that rings through difficult times and joyful times. The sound that rings for both you and me. This sound will always be with us. We will continue to live our lives with this sound.
