When you become a parent for the first time, you probably ask yourself, "What is the role of a parent?" However, there are many different ways of being a parent; everyone is different. There are many different values and ways of thinking in the world, and it is impossible to define them in a general way. However, there is a universal truth that parents all over the world share. That is, parents will always pass away before their children. In any era, parents often think about their children's future rather than about themselves. We expressed such parental feelings and wishes for their children through music. Please enjoy the music that we, Nomijam, play to your heart's content.
Formed in 2024. A duo music unit consisting of singer Kentaro Hayashi and pianist Takashi Komuro. With the concept of "You can sing anywhere with a piano," their motto is to create simple songs that can be enjoyed even on a piano quietly placed in a school music room or auditorium. Their composition method is jam sessions. Their style is to improvise and create songs based on the time, space, and what they are thinking and feeling at the moment, and this method is the origin of their activity name.
Kentaro Hayashi. Sings. Founder of Nomijam. Born in Fukuoka. Respected artist is Takashi Komuro. Hobbies are mountain climbing and fishing. Played piano from an early age, and by the time he was in the third year of junior high school, he was able to play part of the first movement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata by himself, but he was disgusted by the complexity and suddenly lost interest in the piano. He played the piano like crazy every day since elementary school, which worried his mother, but after that, he never touched the piano again. A while later, a childhood friend invited him to join a band and he started his full-fledged musical career. At the age of 19, he moved his base of operations from Fukuoka to Tokyo. He devoted all his time except for working hours to music and was absorbed in songwriting. However, he was so absorbed in songwriting that the band broke up without ever performing live. Furthermore, his perfectionism was so excessive that he kept writing songs and then discarding them, so there are no recordings from that time left. After that, he wanted to live his life only doing the music he loved, so he gave up his music career and recklessly aimed to become a businessman in order to gain financial freedom. However, he had no education and no qualifications, so he had no idea what to do. He started his path to becoming a businessman by repeatedly asking financially successful businessmen and seniors, "What should I do to become rich?". He failed almost everything he did, but his obsessive nature paid off, and he was able to achieve some results. However, he said, "Something's not right," and decided to return to the path of music. He called Mr. Komuro, whom he had only met a few times in the past, for the first time in five years and invited him to the path of music.
Takashi Komuro. He plays the piano. His hobbies are alcohol and tobacco. He is also knowledgeable about outdoor activities such as collecting wild plants and fishing. He is originally from Tokyo. According to Hayashi, the founder of Nomijam, he is a genius. After several years of being just an acquaintance, he received a call from Komuro, who was trying to recruit him, and he immediately replied without hesitation, "Yes, I'll do it." He started his musical career as Nomijam. Since childhood, he has been a nuisance to those around him with his eccentric behavior. When he was in elementary school, he threatened his mother by hanging from the balcony railing, saying that he would commit suicide just because he didn't want to do his homework. He started playing the piano after seeing Fujiko Hemming on TV. After graduating from high school, he went on to a music college, but his teachers did not have a good reputation for his overly free playing style. Later, Hayashi said that those people don't understand music at all, and that's just what hired teachers are like. After graduating from college, he moved around while doing part-time jobs, but he disappeared after he began to doubt why people work. He challenges himself to see how far he can survive without any money in modern society. However, unable to bear the hunger, he wanders around until he finds a wealthy-looking mansion, rings the intercom, and asks the old lady who comes out for some onigiri, but is told they don't have any. After that, he wanders around some more and makes friends with a friendly-looking guy, who buys him a meal. He is then introduced to an acquaintance who owns a ramen shop, and the owner takes a liking to him and offers him a full-time position, but he refuses. He gets the money for the train fare and goes home. He is also a person with rare kindness, treating everyone equally and helping people in need without any regard for himself, which makes Hayashi worried about him and for a time bans him from drinking with strangers. As an aside, when he had less than 1,000 yen in total, he was smoking a cigarette in front of a convenience store when a girl dressed in rags, unthinkable in modern times, approached him and begged for something. He readily agreed. He used his last bit of money to buy something and gave it to her, which was of course a rice ball.
