This is a track I submitted to a certain DTM contest. Since that site has since shut down, I am posting the track here instead.
The only brief I received was "background music for a game." Given the short one-week production window, I finished it as a loopable track lasting just under a minute. However, the contest winners turned out to be pieces over three minutes long tracks that felt more like full game themes. I remember feeling quite frustrated at the time, wishing they had explained any additional requirements upfront.
I envisioned a dungeon set in the ruins of a lost ancient civilization, but I leave it to the listeners to imagine whatever setting they prefer.
If you like the track, please feel free to use it on social media.
A petty corporate drone. I plan to dig up and publish songs I've made and unfinished in the past. If you find any songs you like, please listen to them. *You are free to listen to the songs posted on this channel. *Songs are posted after proving their existence on the following site. https://kendrix.jp/ I think this is for DTM enthusiasts like me who are active outdoors. Music Experience: I was only a member of an unknown brass band club from junior high through high school. I was in charge of percussion except for keyboard instruments. I hardly studied music theory or anything else. Genre: Quite omnivorous and very broad, very shallow, but leans toward instrumental and classical music. Style: Only programmes with DTM software. I don't record live instruments at home; I just type tadpoles with the mouse. During the production period, it's a battle against loneliness (laughs). Favorite artists and composers: Joe Hisaishi, Enya, Yasunori Mitsuda, Toby-Fox, John Coltrane, Maurice Ravel, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Bump of Chicken, MONGOL800, etc... I just can't stop uploading them (laughs). Recently, influenced by social media, I've been digging into J-POP and idols too. Whether they sell or not, I wanted to preserve the songs I've made and accumulated so far, so I decided to start streaming them. Usually, I prioritize my main job, so my streaming frequency is low and slow.
