今作「boy friend」は、バンド初となるクリスマスソング。Vo.鈴木まりこが、想いをなかなか伝えられずにいるやるせない心情と情景をアンニュイに歌い上げているのが魅力的だ。また、アレンジャーにMikeneko Homelessを迎えたムードをより一層引き立てるメローなサウンドアプローチも聴きどころとなっている。

なお、本楽曲は、Instagramフォロワー30万人以上を誇る国内最大規級の古着メディア「古着女子」を運営する株式会社yutoriが運営するD2Cアパレルブランド「spoon store」とのクリスマスコラボアイテムに向けた描き下ろし楽曲。

    Post J-POP band "cinnamons" . The band was formed in Tokyo 2016 March. The members are Mariko Suzuki(vocal) and Shinji Aoyama(guitar) and eric(drum). This band features "CANDY VOICE" and twinkling sound. We provide music for Japanese TV programs and advertisements. The collaboration song "summertime" with allied evening cinema charted in Spotify "Viral Top 50" in Southeast Asian countries such as Japan, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. In addition to the ninth place in Japan, the top place in Vietnam and the second place in the Philippines. In July 2020, the song was ranked number one in four Southeast Asian countries by TikTok, and is still breaking records, especially on social networking sites.
