Friend
Belhollo
Released as the second advance single from the upcoming album Ghost Note, due out on August 21, Friend arrives as a track shrouded in an uneasy atmosphere.
Built upon a simple beat, the song features guitars drenched in deep echo that drift through the mix, creating a soundscape that feels both spacious and subtly unsettling.
The lyrics portray a friendship that gradually changes with the passage of time. Rather than focusing on a definitive separation, the song reflects on the subtle distance that grows between people as their values and paths in life begin to diverge, expressing a quiet sadness and longing for a past that can never be reclaimed.
