The Ten Celestial Stems, known in Japanese as Jikkan, originate from ancient Chinese philosophy.
They consist of ten archetypal principles - Jia, Yi, Bing, Ding, Wu, Ji, Geng, Xin, Ren, and Gui -forming a system that once shaped calendars, cosmology, and reflections on human nature.

Far beyond a timekeeping device, the Ten Stems emerge from the Five Elements theory - Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water-
- describing not only the cycles of nature, but also the inner postures of human existence.

Jia rises upward like a straight young tree.
Yi expands with flexibility and harmony.
Bing burns brightly with outward passion.
Ding glows quietly with sustained inner warmth.
Wu grounds and supports like the earth.
Ji refines and nurtures with careful intention.
Geng cuts sharply, bringing reform and clarity.
Xin polishes and perfects, revealing beauty through refinement.
Ren flows vast and embracing like the ocean.
Gui nourishes gently, like rain fostering new life.

These are not predictions of fate.
They are modes of being.

This work reinterprets the Ten Celestial Stems not as destiny, but as inner stances - ways in which we stand, falter, return, and rise again.

Time is not merely something that passes.
It is something that circulates within us.

Through sound and stillness, this album seeks to awaken an ancient philosophy for the modern heart.
