When I lived in Los Angeles, I watched a producer finish work and leave in a limousine. Then I glanced at the alley.
It was mid-winter, but a poor, Black mother dressed in light clothing was lingering, holding her newborn baby.In her gaze, as she looked down at her child, I thought I saw the hope that by the time her child was grown, the world would become a peaceful one with no war, poverty, or guns.
May the "peaceful world" that mothers the world over hope for come to exist.
