I wanted to write songs about prostitutes who lived from Edo to Showa era, and to leave a testimony of their lives. A prostitute in Yoshiwara, Edo. The prostitutes who worked as prostitutes overseas from the Edo period to the Showa period. The prostitutes who worked with foreign soldiers in Yokohama after the war. Everyone was forced to sell their bodies in the midst of the times, continued to work, and after they passed away, they were forgotten forever. I wanted to leave behind a song about the fact that these women were indeed alive in this world.
After reading the lyrics, producer Jerry Mera wrote and arranged a melancholic and beautiful song for each of the women of each era! We hope many people will listen to this song!

  • Jun Ibara

She has loved music since she was a child and started playing guitar at the age of 15. In college, he joined the Chanson Society of Waseda University and was exposed to many French songs. While enrolled in the French Literature Department, she studied abroad in France and worked as an interpreter and translator after returning to Japan. After working for a publishing company, she became active as the leader of "La Vie En Rose," a chanson singing group in French. At the same time, she wanted to "sing songs that bring a scene to life," so she wrote lyrics and created her own original songs. Guitarist Jerry Mera took notice of the lyrics, composed the music, and produced the recording.
