歌詞

Someone walked this road before

Left their footprints on the floor

Marked the danger, marked the turns

Showed us where the wild road burns

Step by step, we followed on

Never knew what could be wrong

Safe and easy, hand in hand

Walking roads we understand

When I was young, you lit the way

Kept the darkness far away

Mom and Dad, you showed me how

But there's a different road somehow

Take that first step!

Take that first step!

Even when you can't see where it goes

Raise your hands up!

Never give up!

There's a world beyond the road that you know

Dreams are shining in the distance

Calling out my name

I don't need a perfect map

I don't need a straightaway

Take that first step!

Take that first step!

I'll build my own way!

Now the road just disappears

Nothing but the sky ahead

No direction, no signs to read

Only dreams are calling me

Sometimes I will run and fly

Sometimes I will fall and cry

Every failure, every scar

Turns another light on in the dark

Every face I meet along the way

Every word that someone says

Every lesson, every fall

Makes me stronger through it all

Take that first step!

Take that first step!

Even when you can't see where it goes

Raise your hands up!

Never give up!

There's a world beyond the road that you know

Dreams are shining in the distance

Calling out my name

I don't need a perfect map

I don't need a straightaway

Take that first step!

Take that first step!

I'll build my own way!

One day, when my hair turns gray

I'll look back on the road I made

And I'll see every single light

Every wrong turn, every fight

Every laugh and every tear

Every dream that brought me here

Every friend, every goodbye

Every time I chose to try

And I'll know

It was never about the destination

It was every step along the way!

Oh-oh-oh!

I walked through the rain!

Oh-oh-oh!

I danced through the pain!

Oh-oh-oh!

I fell, but I rose!

Oh-oh-oh!

Now everybody knows!

This is my road!

This is my life!

This is the story

I wrote with my life!

TAKE THAT FIRST STEP!

TAKE THAT FIRST STEP!

Let the whole world hear you say!

I'M GONNA RISE UP!

I'M GONNA LIGHT UP!

I'll make a road where there was no way!

All the dreams that seemed so distant

Are shining in my eyes

All the tears and all the laughter

Made these memories alive

TAKE THAT FIRST STEP!

TAKE THAT FIRST STEP!

No turning back tonight!

I'LL BUILD MY OWN ROAD!

I'LL CHOOSE MY OWN WAY!

I'LL TURN EVERY MEMORY

INTO A LIGHT THAT STAYS!

Take that first step

Keep walking on

Someday you'll turn around

And see the road you made

Was shining all along
