Ryota's long-awaited first solo single in 10 years! A moving ballad that expresses love for his hometown.

"Kaze no Machi(City of Wind)" was originally written by Ryota Mitsunaga in 2014 about his beloved hometown. It is a song very close to his heart and has been one he has sung with great care at his live shows. This beautiful ballad that describes ones love for their hometown makes audiences of all ages teary eyed every time it is performed.

Now, "Kaze no Machi (City of Wind)" is being rereleased as the first single of the Legato Project. The Legato Project features the finest songs by famous Japanese singers Keizo Nakanishi, Ryota Mitsunaga, ISEKI, Naomi Yoshimura, Mina Ganaha and Yusuke Asada, who have all greatly contributed to the rise of J-pop in the 90's and beyond. It is a compilation of singles which showcase the experiences and talents of these renowned artists now in 2021.

"Legato"-is an Italian word used in classical music meaning "smoothly".

    【PROFILE】 1980年5月4日生 東京都江東区出身（江戸っ子三代目）／A 型 ／178cm シンガーソングライター／作詞家／作曲家／編曲家 ラジオパーソナリティ／防災士 2002 年4 月『Changes』でインディーズデビュー。 「エアリー＆シルキーボイス」と称され、各地FM 局や出演したイベント等で高い評価を得る。2003 年2 月フジテレビ系「いつもふたりで」主題歌「Always」でメジャーデビュー。オリコン5位を記録。約40 万枚を売り上げる。同年7 月には、ファーストフルアルバム「Inside my heart」 をリリースしオリコンチャート10 位を記録。日本ゴールドディスク大賞「ニューアーティスト・オブ・ザ・イヤー」を獲得。 2006 年2 月通算6 枚目のシングル「Day By Day」をリリース。 カップリングの「Over」は、かつてジュニアユースに所属していたジェフユナイテッド市原・千葉のオフィシャルサポーターソングとなる。（「Over」は現在もJR蘇我駅の1〜６番線ホームの発着音となっている） 2011 年8 月3 日には自身7 年ぶりのセルフプロデュース作品となるフルアルバム「LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL」をリリース。 現在までにアルバム4 枚、ミニアルバム2 枚、シングル7 枚をリリース。（インディーズ時代を含む） 2013年12月には実兄の光永泰一朗と「ユメノツヅキ」を結成（2019年4月30日をもって解散） デビューシングル「伝えたくて」がロート製薬「極潤」のテーマソングに抜擢される。シングルを2 枚リリース。 2015年4月からはbayfm の朝生ワイド「Power Bay Morining」（水・木5:00～9:00）のパーソナリティに抜擢。 ラジオパーソナリティとしてのキャリアも歩き出す。（2021年3月で終了） 2021年4月〜は初の冠番組bayfm「Beautiful Day!」（毎週日曜16:00〜19:00生放送）を担当。 2021年、本人名義としては10年ぶりとなる新曲「風の街」をリリースする。
