Your Gravity

You fill my mind -
only you,
like a sudden flame
that burns through the reason.

Your gravity
pulls me inward,
tightly,
until all thoughts collapse.

Then -
the silence expands.
I drift back
to the one I lost,
and wonder:
What were you to me?
Your name,
The meaning,
A part of who I am.

I sway between
contraction and release,
presence and distance,
memory and now.

This is the weight I carry -
the bitter sweetness
of a life pulled
