Artist Profile

  • Wang One

Lola One from Nanjing and Case Wang from Shanghai met in Tokyo and formed the electronic pop unit Wang One. The band's name originates from a combination of their names, Wang and One. On January 30 and February 1, 2024, despite not having debuted yet, they served as the opening act for the Japanese tour (Tokyo and Osaka performances) of the Chinese mixture rock band STOLEN. On July 17, 2024, they released their debut single, Walk On Shame, marking the first step in establishing Wang One's signature style, Future Disco Punk. The music video was directed and edited by Case himself and serves as a visual representation of one of Wang One's key concepts: a retro-futuristic world. On September 9, 2024, they released their second single (I Don't Give a) Crap, paying homage to '80s techno and new wave. On September 28, 2024, they performed at the HAYAMAtic! 2024 Summer Closing Party. On October 14, 2024, they appeared on the final day of Eggs presents FM802 35th Anniversary Be FUNKY!! MINAMI WHEEL 2024. Lola One: Hailing from Nanjing, she is responsible for singing, songwriting, and composition. On stage, she captivates the audience with her cool expressions and powerful voice. Her English lyrics reveal a deep and unique worldview, foreshadowing a new generation of electronic pop. Case Wang: Originally from Shanghai, he handles sound production, composition, keyboards, vocoder, bass, and DJing. The diverse sounds and beats he creates are the brain and heart of Wang One, while the vocoder chorus serves as another voice of the band.
