He was born in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture. He lives in Tokyo. He is the vocalist of the Japanese rock band I-ai- and a composer who produces and performs most of their songs. He made his nationwide debut in 2004 as the leader of I, a rock band he started in junior high school. 3 years after disbanding in 2008, he resumed his activities as the vocalist of I-ai- in 2011 with his older sister Yuki.
