The Japanese rock duo, Salmon Pink, has released a new single. "Sunday" will be their first release in 8 months.
Rocking out on the "Rookie a go-go" stage at Fujirock Festival 2024 being in recent memory, it's intriguing to hear a mellow, soft rock number as their most recent release since.
Following their previous release, "All U Need", the production tag team consisting of Satoshi Anan and bisshi, yet again, work their magic into this new number.
There is word of a new album in the works, what will they bring to the table next?
Salmon Pink is a Tokyo based indie band, consisting of members Leo Smith and Eddy Miasato. Starting at the end of 2019, the duo started frequently performing originals and covers at a local bar in Sangenjyaya, their demand for gigs rose. They decided to official start a band by the name Salmon Pink, and they've been consistently performing and writing ever since. In 2024, they were accepted in the ROOKIE A GO-GO campaign and chosen as one of a handful of bands to perform on a grand stage in the notorious Fuji Rock Festival. A year later in 2025 they released their first full length album, "SLOGGIMEN". Their sound and style is inspired by many bands and artist that range from the 50s all the way up to current day. But the thing that makes them who they are is their multicultural background. Leo has roots in England and Eddy has roots in Brazil, and those influences appear, obvious or not, in their writing and music. A Japan based band writing in English already being a rarity, they represent a new wave of international, multicultural artists to come.
