Osaka-based artist Tomoya Ogishiba will release his 3rd new album "Monologue" on June 24th.
This work, which is the first in two years, contains a total of 8 songs, all songs are recorded in one shot, like the previous works "Concave" and "Convex". Unlike the previous work, which was based on the theme of "objective view" as if people and society were removed from a small window in the countryside, it depicts the deaths of close relatives and friends and the past of old friends from his childhood to his mid-twenties. It is composed of extremely personal themes of works depicting "memories" from his own point of view, such as the events of the past and the future.
The recording was performed at the live space of Live-art-bar MagaYura, which he runs in Osaka, with Tetsuji Toyota as an engineer. I dared to incorporate environmental sounds such as the sound of a train running directly in front of the building, and added the expectation of contingency and the expression that I am a member of society.
