A diva of the erhu world and an up-and-coming composer have teamed up for a single cut from the innovative album "Sennen Koiga - Love You for a Thousand More", which opens up a new world of erhu (instrumental music).
Composed by Kenji Miyazawa. This song appears in "Night on the Galactic Railroad" and "Twin Stars. The beautiful melody is played by erhu and piano.

  • Haruyo Kimura

    One of the few Japanese professional erhu players who are independent performers. Erhu player born and raised in Kobe. Her artistic sensibility and free activities are based on the solid techniques she learnt in China, the home of erhu. She has been called the "diva of the erhu world" for her rich expressiveness, which can be heard as if she were singing. While giving successful recitals of classical erhu music, she is also a core member of the world's only erhu rock band JADOH. Her activities abroad in South Korea, India and elsewhere have been highly acclaimed, and she has had the honour of being named to the list of cultural figures of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has released many CDs and her appeared in NHK radio dramas, films and TV shows. In 2019, she performed live at the opening ceremony and awards ceremony of the Suzuka 8hours Endurance Racece. From 2020, organises the free concert 'Furusato Tsunagu Concert' in her hometown Nada Ward. In 2021, she organised and successfully held a two-day event "Love You for a Thousand More - A World of Erhu and Projection Mapping -" at Chicken George in Kobe, a project supported by the Agency for Cultural Affairs AFF. Japanese erhu maker Kazuhiro Nishino has provided erhu since 2010. Keep an eye on the activities of the one and only erhu player Haruyo Kimura.

    Composer and Musician Since his days studying at Ritsumeikan University's College of Business Administration, Tomonori Adachi has participated in numerous concerts and recordings as a pianist. With exceptional aesthetic sense and insight, he is a sound magician who seamlessly combines the music theories honed from jazz and classical music. His primary field of activity is music for marketing and he covers a wide range of genres. His work includes producing music for numerous corporate commercials, video works and game products, directing music for large commercial facilities such as airports, commissioned works for concerts, and collaborations with artists. In recent years, he has also ventured into film music and has been vigorously working on music production in that industry. His notable achievements include music production for the Subaru series "Your Story With", the films "Storageman", "Sasaki in My Mind", and "Playing Dead", music arrangement for the film "The Lump in My Heart", as well as the composition of "Hospital Suite" commissioned by the Kobe City Citizens Culturel Promotion Foundation. He has also released an album under the name "KODACHI" as a unit with a Koky? (Japanese fiddle) player Daisuke Kiba, and is active in concerts and media appearances throughout the country. He pursues new possibilities and expands the world of his music.
