The first album by singer-songwriter ayatopia. A collection of nine tracks blending elements of folk, reggae, and jazz with a subtle surreal touch. With sharp lyrics capturing the absurdities of life and the nuances of love, she sings in a restrained yet emotive style. Her simple, transparent voice draws the listener in. Three tracks feature dub arrangements by Berlin-based Japanese beatmaker Katachi Beats. Created in a town at the edge of the Boso Peninsula.

I'm a singer-songwriter born in Iwaki, Fukushima, Japan. I sing in a quiet murmur about everyday scenes and feelings that are hard to put into words. With folk and bossa nova as my starting point, I freely mix in whatever sounds I'm drawn to at the time, making music that's a little tropical, a little wistful, and sometimes quietly funny.
