'Melody and the Seasons Gone By' is a carefully curated best-of album by Takehiro Watanabe. It features 15 songs, mainly selected from his works released after 2020, focusing on upbeat tracks.
With a youthful worldview at its core, the album includes three brand-new songs inspired by Vietnamese artist Thái Đinh.
All tracks are pop and easy listening, with a nostalgic touch and a breeze of Asian atmosphere throughout the sound.
Born in Saitama, Japan, he was deeply inspired by legendary mood music (easy listening) artists such as Paul Mauriat, Frank Pourcel, and Percy Faith. He began his musical career in 2012, releasing his first self-produced CD the following year. Since 2016, he has expanded to international digital music distribution, producing several albums each year. His works span a wide range of styles - from original easy listening compositions to comical tunes, arrangements of Japanese nursery rhymes, traditional songs, and global classics. In recent years, he has also shown a growing interest in the music of neighboring Asian countries, further enriching his creative journey.
