Rapper WiL, based in Gifu and Nagoya, releases his career-first EP "don't trust me, but trust me"

Rapper WiL, based in Gifu and Nagoya, released his EP "don't trust me, but trust me" on October 29th.

WiL, a rapper who stands out in the Nagoya hip-hop scene with his light-footed flow and just the right amount of laid-back vibe, has released his career-first EP, "don't trust me, but trust me". This work encapsulates WiL's summer, a season that "seemed like nothing happened, but actually a lot did."

"pace" released as a single this August and included on this EP, is a highlight featuring collaborators CV and Kyrie. This track shines with its sampling-based beat, reminiscent of his roots, and WiL's updated rap style, symbolizing the EP.

Additionally, track 4, "splash!", features SeaKeyNavy, while track 6, "rise and fall", features RYUGA from his local creative team BANDIT.
Mixing and mastering were handled by ksr:3, with artwork by nabura.

The EP "don't trust me, but trust me" was reportedly created through sessions with the friends WiL regularly interacts with. WiL's lyrics, which feel like an extension of ordinary life, convey his inner conflict and impatience. They seem to speak for many teens forced to live caught between the "formulaic image of success" reflected on social media and the "ordinary reality" of their lives.

The EP "don't trust me, but trust me" is available on various subscription services.
