Voices echoing beyond the clouds of dust

On the shores of memory, names begin to rust

Pulling shadows, tearing through the line

A melody leading to a place divine

Silver winds are sighing like a soft lament

Tracing out the sky where the light was spent

But my feet will carve a path upon the clay

Finding where the heartbeat hides away

The wingless ones ask the wind today

"Where does my journey lead, so far away?"

If this fate won't let me soar on high

I’ll run until the edge of the eternal sky

Did you see the sky in the days of old?

Like the moon on water, silver and cold

Is it a mirage or the truth we seek?

A poem in the sand, where the spirits speak

Dreams upon the dunes are fleeting, I know

Yet the fire in my chest continues to grow

Let it echo far, to the distance so wide

Until the day my path turns with the tide

You who cannot fly, come and know the sky

You who run the earth, let the wind fly by

The trail we leave will turn to golden light
