Shun Sasaki's 1st album "Sky" filled with "Songs"

I created my first album with the desire to convey the charm of the trumpet's tone to everyone. This album includes ''Hoshi Meguri no Uta '' composed by Kenji Miyazawa, which has been well received at numerous concerts. We have also included a commissioned work by Takafumi Kakizaki, a percussionist and composer from Iwate Prefecture, called ''Sky'' The piano player is Tomoya Okamoto, who has shared many stages with Shun Sasaki. Also pay attention to the variety of tones played by Mr. Okamoto!

  • Shun Sasaki

    An internationally active Trumpet player based in Japan. Described by the Austrian composer Balduin Sulzer as "Angel's Trumpet", He studied abroad at the private Anton Bruckner University of Music in Austria. Performed at the Wiener Musikverein and the Brucknerhaus in Linz. In 2017 he was a lecturer in Portugal with Gábor Tarkövi, a former trumpet player of the Berliner Philharmoniker. In 2019, visited China for a musician dispatch project of the Japan-China Cultural Exchange Association. In 2021, he became the first Japanese to become the world-famous Austrian musical instrument maker "SCHAGERL Artist".
